The main survey asks you to:

  • Share your views on how patient and clinician engagement shapes your organisation's commercial decisions
  • Reflect on real examples from your organisation
  • Describe the methods your organisation uses
  • Rate how stakeholder input influences business and investment decisions
  • Identify what would enable improvement and what barriers exist

Do I have to answer all questions? No. Skip any you don't want to answer. We get better information if you answer more, but only answer what feels OK to you.

How we protect your information

What we collect: Your survey responses and basic background information (role, organisation type, size, location, experience). We don't collect names, contact details, or organisation names unless you choose to provide them at the end.

How we use it: We analyse all responses together to understand patterns and insights. All reports are fully anonymised - no individual responses or identifiable organisations are included.

Keeping it safe: Your data is encrypted, stored securely on UK GDPR compliant servers, and only accessed by our research team. We follow research governance standards and UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

How long we keep it:

  • Your survey answers: We keep identifiable details (if any) for up to 6 months after the project ends, then remove any identifying information and keep anonymous answers for up to 5 years for future sector insight analysis
  • Summary reports (with no names): We may keep these indefinitely to support sector development
  • Your email (if you give it): Until you ask us to delete it, or automatically after 24 months if you haven't been active

Legal basis: We have a legitimate interest in conducting research that supports better health research practices and stakeholder engagement in the commercial health sector. We've balanced this against your privacy rights and believe the research benefits justify the minimal privacy impact. Your participation is entirely voluntary.
