Meet the team
Each member of our team brings something different to the table. You'll have the chance to meet and learn from all of our expertise: research, community and project management, technical innovation and communications strategy and delivery.
Gaurav is responsible for the strategic direction of the Thiscovery platform and enabling the organisation to successfully deliver its strategic goal and business plan.
Gaurav also oversees internal functions including legal, finance, HR, payroll, governance, and IT, as well as supporting the effective working of the Thiscovery Board.
With over fifteen years of experience in the health sector, Gaurav has led major organisational change initiatives including implementing IT systems, business change and overseeing complex office relocations. He has established portfolio management and PMO capabilities from the ground up, demonstrating expertise in programme governance and delivery. In a senior leadership capacity, he provided strategic advisory support to executive teams and boards on transformation projects, organisational change, product strategy, investment opportunities and business-critical programmes.
Gaurav holds a degree in Commerce and Business Management from India, an MBA in IT from the University of Lincoln, and an MSc in Insurance and Risk Management (Distinction) from Bayes Business School, City University.

Sam leads client development and external affairs at Thiscovery, enhancing the organisation’s visibility and partnerships across the health and care sector. He also oversees recruitment strategy across our portfolio of clients.
With more than ten years of experience across strategic communications, research management and digital engagement, Sam has worked at the intersection of professional services, research and innovation. Before joining Thiscovery, he held senior communications and campaign roles at a top 100 law firm and at ForrestBrown, the UK’s leading innovation incentives consultancy, where he led campaigns to influence policy, drive growth and strengthen collaboration with clients and partners. Earlier in his career, Sam worked at the Universities of Bristol and Exeter, managing research projects, communications and impact strategy. He began his career as a Digital Project Producer and in learning technology, where he helped design innovative approaches to research engagement and public participation in research.
He holds a first class BA (Hons) in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR).
Lorna manages a portfolio of projects hosted on Thiscovery. She works with clients to deliver research and consultation projects that aim to build evidence about how to improve health and social care. Lorna's role involves:
- Strategic oversight and delivery of Thiscovery’s programme
- Development of effective partnerships with clients and guiding them the design, delivery and reporting of their Thiscovery projects
- Contributing to continuous learning and improvement to ensure success of our insight generating work
Lorna has extensive experience in providing operational leadership to healthcare projects and programmes in both academic and NHS research environments. She worked for the NIHR for over 10 years in a variety of operational roles driving the delivery of clinical and applied health research programmes and leading on patient and public involvement. Before joining Thiscovery, she worked at THIS Institute managing their complex portfolio of research and quality improvement projects, before taking leadership of new strategic programme developing a novel approach to healthcare improvement.
Lorna holds a first class BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Sheffield.

Sam is responsible for delivering Thiscovery's marketing strategy and activities to generate awareness of its expertise and platform for generating rich insights and hosting online communities. He also delivers bespoke recruitment strategies across a range of digital and offline channels for our portfolio of clients.
Sam has years of communications, PR and marketing experience across the retail, agriculture, finance and education sectors. Besides promoting the value and impact of Thiscovery to health and care prospects, Sam supports the Insight & Innovation team to create and deliver recruitment plans for Thiscovery's insight projects.
Sam holds a first class BA (Hons) in History from the University of Lancaster and a CIM Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing.

André leads the Platform Engineering team at Thiscovery, overseeing the development and delivery of our key product, the Thiscovery platform. He is responsible for technical architecture, security, quality management, and ensuring the successful execution of the development roadmap.
André's role involves:
- Managing the Platform Engineering team
- Overseeing technical delivery and ensuring platform security
- Fostering innovation and continuous improvement
André has extensive experience in software engineering and data analysis in an academic context, with roles in leading research institutions in the UK and abroad.
His background is in scientific research, with a PhD from the University of Cambridge, and MSc and BSc degrees from the University of São Paulo.

Jay works alongside the Insight and Innovation team and Platform Engineering team to support with the delivery of projects launched on Thiscovery.
Jay's role involves:
- Supporting with survey design and setup and implementing client requests
- Copywriting and creating project landing pages and communications to participants
- Securely transferring data to clients
Jay has worked in a range of roles at BT and PlusNet, including Sales, Knowledge Management, and Billing Analysis. Jay's responsibilities during this time included being a team leader, copywriting, and managing the billing system.
Jay has a BSc in Biochemistry and Microbiology and is studying a Level 4 software development apprenticeship through Digital Native.
“My hopes are that our work will continue to support the NHS in building up their evidence base for changes and improvements. I really want our work to make real differences to people accessing services within the health and care system to improve patient care and staff resilience.”
Rebecca is responsible for managing the schedules and communications of the CEO and COFO and handling a wide range of high-level administrative tasks for them and the wider team. She helps to improve the communication, organisation and efficiency of the whole organisation.
Rebecca's role involves:
- Diary management, general admin and travel arrangements
- Office management and producing meeting minutes
- Supporting with organising internal events and attendance at external events
Rebecca has previously worked in the Hospitality and Super Yacht industry, in E-Commerce as a Website Content Co-ordinator, and as a PA in the NHS (CUH).
She has a BA (Hons) in Graphic and Media Design at the University of the Arts London.
Anna manages a portfolio of work hosted on Thiscovery, including their data collection projects and online communities which aim to build evidence for improving health and social care products, policies and services.
Anna has over twenty years' experience in research management across both the public and higher education sectors, which include leading the National Evaluation of the European Social Fund and driving insights into employee wellbeing in higher education.
Anna holds a BA Hons degree (2:1) in Sociology and a MSc in Social Research Methods from Staffordshire University.
Sukh leads on sales and business development at Thiscovery, driving partnerships and initiatives that expand awareness of Thiscovery’s services and strengthen their impact across health and care.
She brings extensive experience in business development and health-tech sales, having worked with a wide range of MedTech innovators, products, and services. Her role oversees identifying and developing new partnerships and project opportunities, working closely with the marketing team, and representing Thiscovery at events as part of our public face.
Sukh holds a BA in History from the University of Warwick and an MA in History from the University of Manchester, specialising in social and cultural history with a focus on amplifying traditionally overlooked voices.
