Helping the NPA to understand what patients want from prescribing services across community pharmacy
Who are we?
The National Pharmacy Association (NPA) is an organisation that supports community pharmacies such as your local high-street chemist. We work to make sure these pharmacies can give patients the best possible care. We do not make a profit. Any money we make goes straight back into making pharmacy services better.
Why we're doing this research?
Some pharmacists working in community pharmacies (such as your local chemist, Boots or Superdrug) can now write prescriptions for patients after hearing their symptoms, like a GP. This is still quite new. The NPA wants to increase prescribing in community pharmacies. To do that we need to hear what patients think, what worries them, and what would help improve their confidence.
Your answers will help the NPA make sure prescribing in community pharmacy works well for patients.
