For patients presenting to emergency departments who have a condition which will require an emergency laparotomy, mortality is high. We know that many patients continue to experience delays that can contribute to worse outcomes. We have developed a set of principles to address one key area of delay, that of the CT scan process, and are seeking your feedback on this work.
