Design and build better solutions

Build smarter health solutions – informed by the people who'll use them

Designing in health and care is complex. Whether you're creating a new digital tool, redesigning a service or developing a value proposition, assumptions can derail even the best ideas.

Thiscovery generates insight that helps you design with clarity. Our research shows you what people really need, how they navigate experiences, and what will help them succeed.

A woman measures heart rate and pressure with smart technology in phone while sitting on a sofa at home.
A man with a prosthetic leg bending down to hug a man in a wheelchair in a park.

The challenge: solutions that miss the mark

Innovation teams often ask:

  • "What do users actually need—and where are the friction points?"
  • "Are we using language, features or formats people understand?"
  • "Can this work across diverse populations or settings?"
  • "Are we designing something that’s truly inclusive?"

Without insight, good ideas risk poor uptake, slow rollouts, or costly rework.

How we help: insight that improves design and delivery

We help you gather rapid, inclusive feedback on design ideas, concepts and prototypes.

Our insights services support:

  • User requirement gathering from patients, staff or the public
  • Feature and service co-design
  • Value proposition refinement
  • Localisation for different contexts
  • Real-time usability testing

You build - we deliver the evidence that guides and strengthens every design decision.

Shaping new remote monitoring health technology

We supported the Works Works Centre for Wellbeing in engaging with patients and healthcare clinicians to understand what matters to them for remote monitoring of kidney function.

120 participants took part in a collaborative online process which involved giving experience statements and expressing views on Likert scales.

Outcome: The production of a guide offering practical guidance for device developers, including those in other specialities of remote monitoring.

"Thanks to Thiscovery we could involve far more professionals, experts, and specialists than was previously possible. This allowed us to benefit from the collective expertise and ingenuity of a significant number of people."
