Purpose and impact

Why we're here

We exist to improve health and care. We do this by building powerful insights, which we generate by listening to the right people. Our clients use this insight to develop and deliver positive change.

Our approach addresses the practical challenges involved in creating change in health and care in the UK:

  1. Learning from people with relevant real-life experiences, including those whose voices don't always get heard
  2. Building powerful and reliable evidence at pace, as well as scale, to inform decisions
  3. Involving the people who will actually make the decisions and create the change, from start to finish

Better decisions start with listening

The biggest risk in health and care innovation is not hearing from the people it affects. Without their insight, decisions rest on assumptions, and that costs time, money and credibility. We help organisations ask better questions, listen well, and act on what they hear.

Why we're different

Innovative and successful

Our highly skilled team combines relevant expertise with pioneering and proven research methods to help clients build robust, credible and rapid evidence.

Efficient and cost effective

We focus on engagement which directly leads to change, not ones which gather opinions just to tick a box.

Accessible and convenient

Our platform makes it easy for organisations to set up a community space and run projects, and for people to join communities and take part in research.

Here to do good

We're driven by outcomes, not profit, and everything we create is inclusive, fair and user-centric.

Ethics at the heart of what we do

Ethics is not a box to tick. It is the groundwork for insight you can trust. When people share their stories, they are offering something personal. Respecting that is not just the right thing to do. It is how we create the conditions for meaningful participation.

Good research depends on clarity, consent and care. When people feel safe and respected, they tell you what matters.

Our impact in numbers
