Project launch: Elective surgical hubs

Launching our latest project to explore how elective surgical hubs are currently working across England.

We are excited to announce the launch of a new project led by the Improvement Analytics Unit at the Health Foundation - a partnership with NHS England - with support from Getting it Right First Time (GIRFT).

The team behind this consultation are using Thiscovery to gather insights from those who work in or are involved in elective surgical hub processes and outcomes. They aim to surface crucial insights from NHS staff and system stakeholders on how the rapidly expanding model of elective surgical hubs is working.

The learnings from this project will help GIRFT to develop the most effective advice and support for hubs across the country.

“It's been great working with Thiscovery to design the elective surgical hubs staff consultation. The Health Foundation has recently carried out a large evaluation to see how elective surgical hubs across England are performing, and this staff consultation will really help us to understand what's making those hubs work well. The insights have the potential to improve the positive impact of hubs, benefiting both patients and staff.”

Carl Mayers - Assistant Director and Head of the Improvement Analytics Unit, The Health Foundation

If you're interested in taking part or want to share this project with others, visit the project page here. This consultation is open until 1 September 2024.
